Word has reached me via YouTube that they’re filming scenes for the latest Mission Impossible movie on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
A video was put on YouTube of one of a pair of Class 66 Diesel Locomotives being shifted from York to the popular Yorkshire-based heritage railway by road after a landslip knackered any hope of sending the locomotive by rail on the track that links Middlesbrough to Whitby.
Haven’t seen anything about it elsewhere yet.
Update: Just got confirmation via ITV’s Twitter feed for the regional news…..
🤩 TOM CRUISE IN NORTH YORKSHIRE! 🤩
We heard he was in the region, we sent @RBullockITV and of course she managed to track him down! It’s thought he’s been filming the new Mission Impossible in #Pickering 📽️
